With each passing year since the last Jamb CBT Update, more updates have been released. The use of the Jamb Pin vending technique for CBT registration is one of the upgrades.
The Pin Vending Method for UTME Sales of Forms has been adopted by the Joint Admission Matriculation Board for use across the country.
Many pupils have continued to ask me, “What is Jamb PIN vending?” because they still don’t grasp what JAMB meant by the term.

Candidates should be aware that Pin Vending was implemented following the discontinuation of scratch cards. This indicates that CBT facilities are a direct alternative to Cyber cafés and the Jamb scratch card.
I have made the decision to explain to all students today what pin vending entails and the list of banks that have been approved for it.
Students who want to register for the exams use the JAMB Pin Vending method, which involves paying online and receiving a pin that they can use to upload their data.
Web payment, ATM-issued cards including Visa, Verve, and Mastercard, online Quick Teller, mobile applications, and Bank Branch case/card are all ways to access this new pin vending machine.
The following banks are among those that the Examination Board has listed as authorized for pin vending:
- Union Banks
- Zenith Banks
- Access Banks
- CBT Centres
- JAMB State Offices.
- Nigerian Postal Agencies [NIPOST]
Candidates are also told that some accredited centers have pin vending permission.
Because of this, we advised students who haven’t registered yet to go to the closest accredited centers for enrollment.
However, since your center isn’t yet authorized for pin vending, candidates are now free to go to any of the above banks for pin vending before going back to the centers to finish enrollment.
