1. Buhari Appoints New NSITF MD
The appointment of Dr. Akabugo followed the approval by the President for the reconstitution of the NSITF Management Board as well as the recommendations in the Report of the Presidential Joint Board and Audit Investigation Panel set up in July 2020 to investigate the infractions of the Public Procurement Act, 2007, and the Financial Regulations (FR) in the NSITF.
This development was confirmed by a statement issued by the Deputy Director of Press and Public Relations of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Charles Akpan.
2. Gov. Wike Reacts To The IPOB’s Sit At Home Order
Breaking news as the executive Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has said he will continue to stand by his words that the activities of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) are unacceptable in the state whether his life is threatened or not.

The Chief Provost of Nigerian Immigration Service in Imo, Okiemute Mrere, has been killed.
Mrere was killed along the Owerri- Port Harcourt Road in Owerri, the Imo state capital on Saturday, May 29. His body was later discovered in a bush on Sunday morning, May 30.
