The 31 years old Nigeria Defender has impressed at Wigan since his loan move in January from Epl side Hove Brighton Albion.
Bologun loan spell at wigan has helped the Latics achieve four clean sheets in six Championship matches and move away from the relegation zone.

Balogun joined Albion in the summer of 2018, making 12
appearances in total. He scored one goal for the club, a volley with
his first touch in a 3-1 win against Crystal Palace.

Balogun who found it hard making first-team opportunities at
Brighton and Hove Albion this season, making just one appearance in
the EFL Cup victory at Bristol Rovers, has now agreed a permanent
deal with Wigan.

Leon Balogun season at Germany

The German-born player, who started his career with Hertha, has featured for a number of clubs in Germany including Hannover 96, Werder Bremen , Fortuna Düsseldorf, and Darmstadt 98 before teaming up with Mainz in 2015.

The defender played 52 league games for Mainz during his three-year stay before he moved to the Premier League in 2018.
Balogun will hope to deliver more convincing showings for Wigan for a chance to secure a long-term deal with the DW Stadium outfit.
