Mary Imewe Has been Sentenced To Death
Breaking news as Mary Imewe , a lady in Akwa Ibom who was caught cutting her own mother into pieces has been sentenced to death.
Akwa Ibom State Police Command has confirmed that the lady identified as Mary Imewe who allegedly butchered her mother by name, Eka Ime, to pieces in Ikot Ekpene local government area of the state, has been sentenced to death.
The inident occurred at factory road in Ikot Ekpene city and in line with reports, her mother offense is witchcraft.

Why Mary Imewe Was Sentenced To Death
It was recalled that the sad incident happened at Ikot Akpang in Ikot Ekpene on Friday, November 26, 2020
According to eyewitnesses, when the police came to arrest her, the suspect who is also known as ‘ Mummy’ reportedly told them to take her away as she does not give a damn.
The lady said it herself that she doesn’t care and she will be arrested, Elders of the community-made sure she carried her dead mother’s body on her head which she butchered into pieces, a witness revealed
The Police Spokesperson, SP Odiko Macdon, who confirmed the incident on Saturday, November 27, said the suspect is in police custody and investigations are ongoing on the case.
He said no right-minded individual would slaughter her own mother in such a gruesome manner, noting that the police would need to get medical personnel to certify her state of mind before she is charged to court.
Mary Imewe was totally examined and it was discovered that she was totally okay.
According to the police commissioner, the lady is in their custody and it was gathered the corpse of the mom has been deposited in the mortuary. By the time we ascertain her state of mind, we will charge her accordingly.
“We have conducted preliminary investigations and more discreet investigations are on the way and she will be charged to court immediately after that, ” he added.
Since then the case has been in court until 13th of February 2020 when the lady after all series of investigations and evidence presented before court that she was found guilty that she was sentenced to death.
