Edo state Governor Obaseki holds Closed-door meeting Gov. Udom of Akwa-Ibom state
The embattled Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki holds Closed-door meeting today with the Governor of Akwa Ibom state and PDP chieftain, Emmanuel Udom, shortly after meeting Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike on Sunday at the River state Government house.
These meetings are coming in less than 24 hours after an APC screening committee disqualified Obaseki from contesting in the party’s gubernatorial primaries scheduled to hold on June 22.

However, the agenda of the meeting with the PDP governors were undisclosed and were not revealed to the public but Obaseki is believed to be on consultations with them to possibly join the party in order to contest for a second term.

The APC screening committee disqualified Obaseki over his inability to sort out discrepancies in his HSC and NYSC certificates.
