The wave of revelations of unethical dealings by former coaches of the Nigeria Super Eagles has been blowing of recent and there seem no end in sight at the moment as another former player has accused former national team coaches of shady dealings.

Former players like Chinedu Ogbuke, Brown Ideye, Taiye Taiwo have revealed or made insinuations of corrupt practices in the Super Eagles.

This time former Super Eagles winger, Peter Osaze Odemwingie has claimed some former coaches acted as agents and coaches and in the process choose players out of bias.

“Some of our coaches did get involved in a bit of player management, they had management companies,” Odemwingie told Super Eagles media team in an Instagram chat.

”Shuaibu Amodu, for instance, had a management company. Some picked a weaker player over a stronger one who played in a better club because they wanted to market.”

“He was in and out as a coach and an agent, but he was a great man. I used to talk with him whenever I could about it. I loved Amodu.” Odemwingie said.

The former West Bromwich Albion striker played for the National team from 2002 to 2014 scoring 69 matches and scoring 11 goals.
