Watch Brentford vs Liverpool

Liverpool will be hoping to stay top of the Premier League table with a win over Brentford this afternoon.

Jurgen Klopp’s men sit level with Chelsea at the summit of the Premier League after an unbeaten start to the domestic season.

The Reds have picked up 13 points, winning four times and drawing once, conceding just one goal in the process.

And a comfortable win over Norwich in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday evening capped off what has been a successful early campaign for Klopp’s side.

But in Brentford they face a tough test. The premier league newcomers have enjoyed an impressive start to life in the top flight, following up a win over Arsenal on the opening day with victory at Wolves last time out, as well as draws with Aston VIlla and Crystal Palace. They sit ninth.

Klopp’s side are aiming to stretch an unbeaten run that dates back to March in the Premier League to 16 games in London this evening.

Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Jones; Salah, Jota, Mane.

Subs: Kelleher, Konate, Milner, Firmino, Gomez, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Minamino, Tsimikas, Origi.

Firmino is here but I’d be surprised if he starts. I would go with Jota and Origi still has a claim.

I may have counted wrong but I think Liverpool have a 22-man squad here, with Adrian the third goalkeeper and presumably Phillips as the spare man.
