Brighton vs Manchester United

It’s First Half break as United edge a step closer to the quarter finals thanks to McTominay’s goal

The Second half is underway, no changes for either team.

53* – Fred has got his eye in tonight. He forces another save from distance – this time with a free kick. Will it be third time lucky?

58* – Brighton are still in this and seeing ample amounts of the ball. They’re still to truly threaten Henderson though

63* – Substitution for Brighton as Trossard comes on for Jahanbakhsh.

68* – A stunning save from Henderson. Trossard connects to a cross and fires goal wards with power from around 12 yards, but Henderson gets a strong hand to it and pushes it wide.

69* – Substitutions for United now. Pogba and Rashford for Ighalo and James.

73* – GOAL! Mata makes it two with a beautifully worked goal. Van de Beek’s flick to Mata sets the Spaniard through on goal and he passes the ball into the bottom right hand corner.

75*– Chance for Pogba. He heads narrowly wide from Dalot’s cross. Probably should have done better.

80* – GOAL ! Absolute magic from Pogba. 20-yard free kick into the top corner. Brilliant.

Replays show it took a slight deflection, but that was heading in all the way.

82* – Substitutes for each side with Sanders on for Molumby and Lingard for Fred.

86* – That would have been a lovely goal for Dalot, but he was denied by Steele. A great team move involving Mata and Van de Beek to cut open Brighton.

FULL TIME! United win 3-0 and are now one win away from reaching a third semi-final under Solskjaer.
