Welcome to another Ligue 1 clash.

Tonight should be the long-awaited debut for a certain Lionel Messi as he gets set to make his PSG bow this evening.

The maestro’s signing created a huge buzz across the footballing world, matched only by that of Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United this week.

But he hadn’t trained enough to start last week’s clash and sat it out.

Now he’ll make his debut for the club in a clash with Reims, who have drawn their first three games of the season.

PSG, however, have won their first three games in comfortable fashion.

They’re the only side in Ligue 1 to have a 100% record and can move back top of the table with another win.

And despite having played a game less than most of their league rivals, they are the current league top scorers.

That is before Messi has even kicked a ball.

And you’d get short odds on them adding a few tonight even though they’re away from home.

But let’s see what happens and how Mauricio Pochettino lines up.

And can Reims spoil the party?

We’ll find out soon enough, 7.45pm the kick-off time tonight.

1* – Ready for a start in what is really a momentous occasion for the French game.

And we’ll see what it’s like when he’s lifted from the bench!

5* –Gueye is his tenacious self in the middle of the park before he is tripped midway inside his half.

Free kick to the visitors and it’s taken quickly.
