Solskjaer speaks on why Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial were benched vs Chelsea
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has explained Reasons why paul Pogba and Anthony Martial were benched against Chelsea in the FA cup Semifinals match at Wembley stadium.
With the looks in man united current form both French players have been integral for the Reds since the Premier League and many were expecting the pair to start against Chelsea.
The head coach Solskjaer has stated that the idea to put both stars on the bench is to hand bring energy back to the team.
Solkjear Explains why Pogba and Martial were benched
The Nirwegian tactician stated that “Anthony and Paul have played a lot so it’s to bring freshness to the team and also give them the opportunity to make a difference by entering the game,” Solskjaer told MUTV.
United young winger James has not started for United since the 1-1 draw at Tottenham and the Norwegian boss is expecting a good performance from the Welshman and also from Brazilian Energetic midfielder Fred.
Solskjaer also added: “They’ve been waiting patiently, doing well when they have a chance, Fred and Jamo [James] bring fresh legs and some intensity we need on a draining Wembley pitch.”
Manchester United will meet the North london FA cup Record winners Arsenal in the final if they beat Chelsea at Wembley tonight. The Red devils are unbeaten in their last 19 matches across all competitions.
